Our office manager, Sarah, joined Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic in July 2015. Since graduating from Virginia Wesleyan College, she has pursued a career in animal welfare. Sarah lives in Brooklyn with her boyfriend and their cat, Nebula. In her free time, Sarah enjoys theatre, hiking, and learning new things.
Mariko is a licensed veterinary technician. She has been passionate about taking care of animals since she was young. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology from Mercy College. After completing externships at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Manhattan and the ASPCA, she joined Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic in February 2014. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and their dog, Elsa.
Carli joined Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic in March 2015 after moving from the suburbs of Chicago. She grew up in a house full of animals including dogs, cats, and birds. She enjoys baking, reading, and watching movies. She currently lives in New Jersey with her recently rescued cat, Steven.
Sheena joined Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic in September 2015. She attended Veterinary Technical Institute of Pittsburgh and graduated with honors, earning her Associate’s Degree in Specialized Veterinary Technology in 2004. After graduation, she participated in a year-long internship program at The Animal Medical Center, and then worked in a small animal hospital thereafter. Sheena loves that she has had the opportunity to combine her love of science, medicine, and animals into a wonderful, decade-long career.
Outside of the animal hospital, Sheena enjoys working on photography; she will be earning an Associate’s Degree in Photography from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in January 2016. Sheena recently earned her purple belt in Tae Kwon Do; she hopes to earn her black belt by 2017. Sheena is a native New Yorker, currently living in Queens with her husband and their three kitty cats, Roxi, Boo, and Seraphina.
Crechelle became a member of Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic in October 2015. After graduating from the University of Tampa in 2006, she returned to New York and has been involved in the veterinary field ever since. Crechelle has worked in the intensive care unit at an animal shelter in Long Island and a private practice in Manhattan. She has also participated in spay/neuter clinics in Ecuador and hopes to do so again soon. Crechelle is currently enrolled in a veterinary technology program to become a licensed veterinary technician. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her cat, Stinky, traveling, reading, and baking.
Vanessa joined the Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic team as a licensed veterinary technician in March 2016. As a young equestrian, she developed a love of animals. In the past she volunteered at a therapeutic riding center teaching children and adults with disabilities. She also worked as a wildlife volunteer in upstate New York. Vanessa lives in Brooklyn with her cat Pickles, her dog Pantsy, and her boyfriend, Andrew. Vanessa loves all animals and can’t wait to meet yours!
Lois joined the Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic team in March 2016. After living in southern California for almost 2 decades, Lois moved back to her native New York City with her rescue dog, Romeo. After graduating top in her class at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Lois moved to California to pursue her desire of preparing world class food in the San Diego area. During her time away from the kitchen, Lois worked as a positive reinforcement dog trainer for 10 years, using modern and safe techniques as well as clicker training.
Victoria joined Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic in November 2016. After studying psychology and neuroscience as an undergraduate, her attention and ambition has turned to veterinary medicine. She is very fond of cooking, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and her two truly excellent cats: Buggles and Skimbleshanks.
Mary joined Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic in January 2017. She grew up in San Diego with 5 dogs, 2 cats, several guinea pigs, and countless fish. She is a classically trained ballet dancer who loves food and history books. Mary now lives in Brooklyn with her sister and their magical Pomeranian named Puck.
