Dianne DeLorenzo, DVM
Dr. Dianne DeLorenzo is a general practitioner and the owner of Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic.
A native of the Bronx, Dr. DeLorenzo attended Cornell University and received her Bachelor's Degree in 1983. She went on to attend Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. After completing her veterinary studies, Dr. DeLorenzo was chosen from among hundreds of candidates for a medicine and surgery internship at The Animal Medical Center in NYC.
Internal medicine and geriatric medicine are among Dr. DeLorenzo's many professional interests. She enjoys practicing in the Village and is grateful for the time she gets to spend with all her clients and their wonderful pets. Dr. DeLorenzo is a member of the New York City Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr DeLorenzo supports numerous adoption agencies such as the ASPCA, Humane Society, and Alley Cat Allies, which promotes TNR (Trap Neuter Release) programs.
Dr DeLorenzo has been happily married to her husband Greg for 16 years. They enjoy spending time with their extended families and the companionship of their two cats. Dr. DeLorenzo's hobbies include bird watching, photography and theatre arts, among other creative pursuits.
Margaret Hoppe, DVM
General practitioner Dr. Margaret Hoppe was born in Poland and grew up in Florida. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the New College of Florida in 2000. Dr. Hoppe went on to attend the University of Florida School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.
Dr. Hoppe enjoys the close relationship she has with her clients and their pets. Passionate about providing veterinary care for all pets, she volunteers her services at low-income veterinary clinics. She is a member of Friends of Animals and will be working in South Africa later this year for the International Fund for Animals.
Dr. Hoppe plays the French horn and has performed in many local orchestras. She is an amateur scuba diver and also enjoys traveling. Dr. Hoppe shares her home with a cat named Butters.
