A Gentler Way
Your pet is precious to you. We understand. Your pet is precious to us, too. It’s why we come into work at Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic in the morning. And because of that, we pride ourselves on how we care for your pet. Our clients love us because of how gentle we are with cats and dogs. How nurturing and careful we are during their examination. We have worked hard to build an environment that people and pets actually enjoy being in. An atmosphere where you feel like family. Because to us, you are.
Great place to bring your pets. They are patient with you and always follow up promptly. Certified cat friendly clinic that takes extra precautions to make sure the experience is not traumatic for your cats–take their advice if they suggest giving anti-anxiety meds before an appt, it is a game changer and makes it easier for both you and your cat!

I cannot say enough great things about this veterinary clinic and if I could give them 10 stars I would! Dr. Shorenstein was on the upper east side (near where I live) and moved here to the west village. I could not think of seeing any other vet so I followed him here. He is the kindest, most caring, compassionate, and SMART person (and vet) I’ve met in a long time. I have the utmost confidence in his care of my 16 year old dog. Well worth the trip to the west village from the UES.
We just started coming here after reading the amazing reviews. The staff is so caring, kind and helpful. From the front desk, to the vet techs and the doctors themselves. They truly care about the health and happiness of all animals. So happy we found them!
I love this vet clinic. You can really tell they care about the well being of your pet. They treat my cat with respect, letting her sniff everything, especially the stethoscope before they use it on her. They also treat me with respect when I voice my concerns. I trust the vets here so much that I still take my cat to them even though I moved out of the neighborhood all the way out to Astoria.
